Yes. CUSAT has two main campuses offering B.Tech: the main campus in Kochi (School of Engineering) and the Kuttanad campus (CUCEK). The main campus cutoffs are significantly tighter than those for CUCEK.

This is one of the most debated questions among Kerala engineering aspirants. NIT Calicut generally ranks higher nationally and has a stronger placement record, especially for core and product-based companies.

However, CUSAT is a great option too, especially for branches like Marine Engineering and IT, and its location in Kochi gives students excellent industry exposure. If you get NIT Calicut, go for it, but CUSAT is by no means a bad choice and has produced some outstanding engineers over the years.

CUSAT Kochi offers BTech course to students at the UG level. It is offered for 4 years in several specialisations. To be eligible for BTech at CUSAT Kochi, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the college. Candidates must be Class 12 passed of the state of Kerala or any other examination accepted as equivalent there to with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects with at least 50% marks separately and 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SEBC candidates of Kerala).

The CUSAT CAT question paper will have 225 questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology. Candidates will get three marks for every correct answer, while there is a deduction of one mark for every incorrect response.

The CUSAT DAT Cutoff 2025 has been released for admission to the M.Tech programmes. The CUSAT Cutoff 2025 for admission to the M.Tech courses via the DAT exam for the General HS category ranged from 3 to 12 as per the last round cutoff score. Among all the specialisations, M.Tech in Industrial Safety (Health, Safety and Environment Management) was the most sought-after course for the previous mentioned category. CUSAT BTech cutoff 2026 for the OBC HS category ranged from 10879 to 58462  as per the first round. Considering this range, BTech in in Computer Science and Engineering was the toughest course for admission. This course had the round 1 cutoff of 10879. 

On the other hand, BTech in Robotics and Automation Engineering was considered the least competitive course for admission. This course had the round 1 cutoff of 58462. Students can check the table below to know the round 1 closing ranks for all other courses. 

The CUSAT KEAM 2025 was released for admission to the BTech programme for various categories under the Home State quota. According to the CUSAT BTech Cutoff 2025, the last round closing cutoff ranged from 10038 to 66316 for the General HS quota. Among all the specialisation, the top two most sough-after specialisations were BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, followed by BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
