Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two-year full-time undergraduate course approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offered by Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai.
The candidate must be eligible for admission to a B.Ed program (in Government/Government/Government Aided/Self-financing Colleges) leading to the degree of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) subject to:
1. Applicants should complete the 10+2+3(15) or 11+1+3(15) study type and pass the qualifying examination conducted by the relevant committee or university.
2. Candidates who have passed UG or PG degree under Open University System without qualifying 11 year SSLC examination and one year Pre-University Course (P.U.C) examination or 10+2 pattern school examination are not eligible for admission even if subsequently qualify in one year SSLC and one year PUC or 10+2 pattern school examination.
3. Candidates who have studied more than one major subject in Part III/Part IV (under double/triple system) of UG course of study should choose only one of the major subjects and should apply for that elective only. In such cases, the marks obtained by the candidates in two / three main subjects shall be taken into account to arrive at the percentage of marks as stipulated in Clause (ix) hereof.
4. Candidates who have passed any degree in an additional degree program.
5. Candidates who have passed a four-year two-year degree program with two majors under Part III are not eligible for admission.
6. Candidates who have qualified for P.G. Degree in Home Science, Economics, Commerce, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Logic, Indian Culture and Philosophy with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible for admission, subject to the condition that the major subject in UG and PG degrees must be the same.
7. Candidates who have qualified PG Degree (5 years integrated course) under 10 + 2 + 5 or 11 + 1 + 5 scheme of study will be considered for admission. In such cases, marks obtained by applicants in the first three years will be considered for admission.

Yes, architects can give the UGC NET exam after completing a master's degree in related subjects. You can teach at a degree-level architecture college after qualifying for the NET exam. According to UGC guidelines, the minimum qualifications for teaching in a degree-level institution are: (a) To work as an assistant professor, you need to have a first-class degree in architecture and be qualified for the NET exam with one year of experience. (b) To teach as an Associate Professor, you need to have a Bachelors Degree in Architecture and a First Class M.Arch. With eight years of total experience (including a Ph.D. if you're pursuing it). You may also teach at a college for B.Sc. Interior, but you must qualify for UCG NET to teach this degree-level course. You have to complete the master's degree in either architecture or design. You will then need to appear in the NET exam in a related subject. Alternatively, you may directly pursue a Ph.D. in design to become a faculty member for the B.Sc. In design.
