1. Watch a hell lotta movies. The better your understanding about film, the better your chances at cracking the essay.
2. Start watching movies which are critic acclaimed. Neorealism, contemporary, etc. There are a lot of movies that are kind of a must watch so that you have a basic understanding of why films are made.
3. There is no syllabus as such.
