Yes they did. Reading and listening turn adaptive starting then. Questions adjust based on how you perform earlier. Harder ones follow good answers and easier ones after mistakes. This makes the test more personalized.

Much shorter now. The total time drops to around 80 to 90 minutes. The old one took nearly two hours or about 116 minutes. Shorter passages, adaptive questions, and streamlined tasks cut the length. You finish faster but still cover reading, listening, speaking, and writing fully. This helps if you feel tired during long exams.

The big update was done in 2026. ETS made these changes to make the test shorter, more adaptive, and easier to understand. They wanted better alignment with real-life English use and global standards like CEFR.

Two years. That is the standard rule. IDP India and all official IELTS partners confirm the score remains usable for exactly two years from your test date. After that it expires. Universities, visa offices, and employers usually refuse scores older than this. Language ability can fade if not practiced. So the two-year limit makes sense. Plan your applications carefully. Submit everything before the expiry hits.

Your original valid passport. That is the only ID accepted on test day. IDP India and British Council both insist on this rule. You must use the exact same passport you submitted during registration. No other document like Aadhaar, voter ID, or driving licence works instead. If your passport is missing or expired, you cannot enter the test room and the fee gets forfeited. Keep it safe. Check the expiry date long before booking.

No limit exists. You can attempt the test countless times if you wish. IDP India allows it without any restriction. People often retake it several times to reach the required band. Each new attempt means booking again and paying the fee once more. Nothing stops you from trying until you succeed.

Candidates should take the MHT CET mock test in a time-bound manner within a simulated environment. Ieally students should take the mock test within the exam duration 9 am to 12 noon or 3 PM to 6 PM, without any break. This will help adjust to the exam-taking environment. While a number of students take the MHT CET mock tests at coaching institutes, some prefer to take it at their home. Irrespective of the location, the above factors must be followed t
