Well, there is no doubt Thapar Institute Of Engineering And Technology is good for education purposes, apart from Thapar there are many other universities that provide the lost of other facilities to their students like good infrastructure, Scholarships, Placements, and all, for instance, LPU, it's the best option for quality education. Being alumni I would recommend LPU university, it has amazing infrastructure All the facilities are available on the campus itself; a student does not need to go outside for anything. On the campus, Central Library, Hospital facility is available 24*7 for staff and students, shopping mall, Indoor Sports Stadium with 3 Olympic size Swimming Pools, Public/Private Sector Banks, ATM, etc. If I talk about a way of teaching is really remarkable; All faculty members are well qualified from top-ranked universities all over the world such as IITs, NITs, Iims, etc. The best thing about LPU faculty is they all are very supportive they always help the student whenever they lack in any subject. There is an eligibility criterion for getting admission at LPU but for that, you have to clear the LPU NEST test with a good score after that LPU NEST test not only helps you to fulfill the eligibility but also gives you the opportunity for a really good scholarship amount. ADMISSION TO THE FIRST YEAR OF BE/BTech PROGRAM:
A) BE/BTech programmes *Admission to BE/BTech programs shall be conducted through two modes. Applicants are required to fill application form one time only and on the basis of single application form, they can seek admission through any mode, subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria.
1: (Based on JEE Main 2022 score) for 50% of seats 50% of the total BE/BTech seats shall be filled on the basis of percentile based merit of JEE Main 2022.
*Eligibility: *The candidate i. has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject*.
ii. has appeared in JEE Main - 2022.
iii. possesses a good moral character.
iv. is a citizen of India. v. has passed 10+2 examination in 2020, 2021 or appearing in 2022.
In the final round of counselling, any seat remaining vacant through Mode-1 shall be filled through Mode-2 and vice versa. The admission shall be made on the percentile based merit of JEE Main 2022.
II. Mode 2: (Based on 10+2 marks in PCM) for 50% of seats 50% of the total BE/BTech seats shall be filled on the basis of merit of marks secured in 10+2 or equivalent examination in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject.
*Eligibility: The candidate *
i. has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 70% marks (65% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject*.
ii. has appeared in JEE Main - 2022.
iii. possesses a good moral character.
iv. is a citizen of India.
v. has passed 10+2 examination in 2020, 2021 or appearing in 2022. In the final round of counselling, any seat remaining vacant through Mode-2 shall be filled through Mode-1 and vice versa.
