New IIITS are not better than Thapar University, as Thapar University's placement is very good and many good companies come for placement, also it is older than new IIITS. It has it's own campus as most of new IIITS don't have it's own campus.

Thapar offers two categories of academic year scholarship.
1-your board score within this category in case your board score is above 95% the entire tuition and development fees made null. This scholarship will be with you if you are to maintain and aggregate CGPA of 85%per year
2- The next category of scholarship is for those student who make it to the top 10%of students in terms of CGPA in their respective branch. And you will be awarded on your Mains score.

Without any doubt, thapar university is lot better than new iiits.

In Thapar University, admissions are done through JEE Mains.

According to my views and experience, UIET University is the best university for the management courses. In this university, you can get good placements. And, good companies come here for the placement cell. You can get good companies here for the placement. This college has good infrastructure and peaceful environment too.
