The minimum percentage required for admission in Thapar University is around 20%. Around 70 marks. But, if you want core branches then your marks should be around 90 in JEE Mains. So, to be at a safer position of getting admission, I would prefer you to score anything above75 Percentile, if you are not from Punjab.
