You have a great score in board exams. Since only 30 percent of the seats are filled with board exam scores, the competition will be too high and so it is difficult to say whether you can get CSE or not. But there are good chances for you to get the other branches. So try your best at the counseling to get the branch you wish for. Good luck.

No doubt, Thapar is far better than Chitkara. If you are really interested in electrical engineering. Then you should opt for Thapar. You have to decide in which field you want to build your career.

If you're from Punjab then yes. If from other State, you should try for 2nd and 3rd counselling also. You can get into Thapar University.

All of the above-mentioned colleges are excellent. There are different parameters for ranking. One is good for placements while another for curriculum. About CGC Landran, we can say that it is one of the best colleges in India, which provides excellent placement offers. It also has lucrative student exchange offers and industrial collaborations. Furthermore, the college provides incubation funds to forthcoming entrepreneurs.
