Since only 30 percent of the seats are filled with board exam scores, the competition will be too high and so it is difficult to say whether you can get CSE or not. No doubt, Thapar is far better than Chitkara. If you are really interested in electrical engineering. Then you should opt for Thapar. You have to decide in which field you want to build your career.

If you're from Punjab then yes. If from other State, you should try for 2nd and 3rd counselling also. You can get into Thapar University.
