I'd ask you to take up mechanical at NIE because the college had a much better placement team, teaching faculty is experienced and this college has repute for its mechanical branch. For mechanical, Ford gives the highest package of Rs.6 lakhs per annum. On an average we get around Rs.4 lakhs package. If I were you, I'd choose NIE.

You could choose NIE mechanical. But the cutoff gets over by 4000. It's a really good college. Placements are good. The average salary package in mechanical engineering would be around Rs.4 lakhs p.a.

NIE mechanical is supposedly the best mechanical stream in Karnataka. The teaching is really good with 70% placements in core companies, it is higher than any other college. The average salary package in mechanical engineering would be around Rs.4 lakhs p.a.

Boys Hostel in the college is decent. The girl's hostel is newly built which is amazing. Placements for mechanical NIE is one among the best in Karnataka. I'd personally guarantee that this year NIE had a record. 3 branches ie. EC, CS and ISC had 100% placements and mechanical had 85%.

I'm afraid not. Unless you have any kind of quota i doubt you'd get a seat here at NIE. Cutoff for EC at NIE is around 3000.
