Students seeking to enroll into the Master of Education (MEd) programme at BSAEU must note that the admissions at the university are held on the basis of merit + 50-mark examination. As such, there is no prescribed cutoff criteria for the MEd course. At Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University, students must obtain valid scoring in their previous qualifying examination and appear for the in-house entrance test.

The official nominal Chancellor of the state universities is the Governor. The HOD is Dr. Biswajit Saha; Dr. Minal Mukherjee is the Coordinator for the PGDEPA department of the university, while Dr. Sanghamitra Ghosh Gayen is the OSD & DDO.
