International students who are pursuing a two-year Engineering Transfer programme at TRU Canada will be considered eligible for the Engineering Scholarship. Under this scholarship, two new international students are selected and receive an award value of CAD 3,000 (INR 185,528). Some other scholarships offered at Thompson Rivers University include the International Social Media Ambassador Awards and Diversity Scholarship.

Students who showcase outstanding athletic abilities and compete in one of TRU’s Varsity Teams can be considered for the International Athletic Scholarship. Students eligible for this scholarship should be enrolled full-time in a degree-granting credit hour at the university and meet all U SPORTS regulations. Students who wish to avail of the International Athletic Scholarship are required to fill out a WolfPack recruitment form. Students are also required to provide video footage of them performing for the University coach to see their abilities.

TRU University does not have any official university ranking however, the University has secured a place amongst Canada’s Top 50 Research Universities in 2023 securing the 49^th position. The ranking amongst Canada’s Top 50 Research Universities is based on the University’s sponsored Research income and is then allotted to its respective tiers. The research intensity per faculty member and graduate student, the total no. of publication, the publication intensity, and its impact are a few determining factors of the ranking.
