Even if you perform well, you will not get a grade as expected by you in the University examinations. There are good students who fail in any exam too and may or may not clear that subject after revaluations. The grades can affect your future job prospects whereas in MIT, which is Anna University, the same subject lecturer or any other professor from the same department will evaluate the papers. And the evaluations are mostly clear and predictive. MIT doesn't lack in infrastructure. It may not be as good-looking and lavish as SSN but still you have everything (like good labs) to learn engineering without any hiccups. In MIT, the quality of teaching may not be good but as a student, you will be well exposed to a dynamic environment where you can self-learn with seniors/peers. Last but the most important, hundreds of companies visit Anna University for placements. Salary packages from top companies have exceeded 20lpa for students. Placements are the best in this college compared to other departments.

Candidates are eligible to apply for admission through TNEA if they are:
Tamil Nadu candidates who have passed their Class VIII to Class XII standard in Tamil Nadu. Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years at the time of TNEA application form submission. Sons/daughters of All India Service Tamil Nadu cadre officers. Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognized institutions who at the times of TNEA 2018 application form submission had been working in their organizations for the past five years are also eligible to apply, irrespective of their domicile. Other state candidates who have studied from Class VIII to Class XII in Tamil Nadu can also apply for TNEA 2018. Tamil Nadu native candidates who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI and XII standards or their equivalent examinations from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply for TNEA.
