Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission TNEA is a counselling process conducted by Anna University. This is not an engineering entrance test. This is important here that engineering admission in Tamil Nadu's Colleges are based on 12th merit, Hence there is no any entrance exam for BE/B.Tech admission for colleges attached to Tamil Nadu government. Anna University will start the registration process for admissions through TNEA for other state students in the month of May-2019. Candidates who meet the specified eligibility criteria must fill the application form, pay the fee, and upload their photograph, signature and other documents. TNEA for other state students 2019 will have allotment against the region wise seats offered by Anna University in its constituent colleges only. A merit list of TNEA for other state students will be published and allotment will be made on the basis of these ranks.

Among ECE and CSE, deciding which one is better depends on the person's interest. Both are equally good. If you love coding and stuff, then it'll be better to choose CSE, and if you love more of circuits and robotics, then choose ECE. Between ECE and CSE, there are higher chances of CSE getting higher pay packages. But don't get disheartened. As for campus placements, mainly IT companies visit and they pool both from ECE and CSE background depending only on your abilities. Again, both the streams will give you a lot of scope for higher studies!
In ECE, you have an additional advantage- ESE (Engineering Service Examination) covers only 4 streams and ECE is among them. You can join some core companies for ECE, which will fetch you a high salary.
