Yes, you are eligible. Candidates who are Tamil Nadu natives but have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI and XII class or their equivalent examination from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. However, such candidates will have to enclose a copy of their nativity certificate only in online mode (electronic form/digitally signed e-Certificate). So, you can apply after obtaining the nativity certificate (Online) from appropriate authority.

Yes, you apply for BE/B.Tech lateral programme. Candidates can apply for Admission by filling the application form that can be collected from the university office or can be downloaded from the official website that is www.annauniv.edu.

The Nativity is an important aspect in TNEA exam so please check this whether you are eligible or not. Further NIOS certificate have full validity at par with other boards certificate. Hence these are acceptable at all the places.

Yes, nowadays, TNEA allows students from outside the state also to register themselves for the centralised admission process. Do remember that the admissions in Tamil Nadu are based on the marks obtained in 12 and there is no common entrance examination. However you will have to register yourself on the TNEA webpage of the Anna University for registering your name by uploading the required documents and paying fees and then wait for your turn in the counselling process. From last year onwards Tamil Nadu government has disbanded any entrance exam for admissions to different engineering courses. Now, the admissions are based on the marks obtained in class 12th examination.
