As per the reports, in the top cut off marks till 197, there are nearly 1000 applicants who are eligible for NEET also. Since the engineering counselling has started before the medical counselling, there are chances for the medical students who are among the above marks to attend the counselling. So, this could make the engineering aspirants to lose some top colleges.
But with a view of engineering alone, you need not think like that unless you don't have the required cut off marks.
Since your cut off is 0.5 marks higher, you can easily get it this year irrespective of medical counselling.
There are no chances of increase in cut off

There is no separate entrance exam for TNEA. TNEA stands for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions. It is a single window counselling in which you could get a college based on your aggregate marks in PCM (out of 200) of your 12th board exam.
You will be called based on your rank which would be given based on your counterparts.

The applications for TNEA were available for the other state students till July 12 in the website www.annauniv.edu.
There are many colleges under TNEA in the whole of Tamil Nadu but there is only a single window counselling for admission. The TNEA counselling is already in process and the applications have been closed.
So, it is impossible to apply now. You may contact the admin for more details which is available in the above website.

Yes, you are eligible. You need to apply separately through a link which will be posted after the applications for Tamil Nadu and TN native students.
It was available from July 1 - July 12 at www.annauniv.edu
Your aggregate in PCM out of 200 determines your admission.
The applications have been closed and the TNEA counselling processes have started already.
