TNEA 2026 general counselling will start in July 2026 and will end in September 2026. Candidates whose names appear in the rank list will have to appear for the counselling rounds. The counselling rounds include Choice Filling, Allotment, Confirmation of Allotment, and Reporting to College/TFC and payment of fees depending upon their confirmation. The selection of candidates will be based on the marks obtained in the prescribed subjects reduced to 200 (Mathematics:100, Physics + Chemistry 100) in the qualifying examination. The marks obtained by the students in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by various Boards or Authority shall be equated with the marks obtained by the students in the same subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by the State Board of Tamil Nadu by adopting the method of normalisation.

TNEA 2024 BArch registration begins on May 6, 2024. The BArch registration dates has not been notified yet. The Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu will start the BTech and BArch application process forTNEA 2024 in May tentatively. BE/BTech admission in Tamil Nadu is done based on the online counselling process called TNEA. There is no state-level entrance exam for admission in Tamil Nadu. Candidates have to register and appear for the online Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling held every year. 10+2 passed/appearing candidates can apply for TNEA counselling.
