As per year 2020 cutoff of Thiagarajar College of Engineering for B.Tech CSE, the last admitted rank was 2715 with aggregate marks of 190 under the asked category, While for IT the last admitted rank this was 4529. So you have few chances in IT. You may tryout the management quota seats if available there.

Based on the TNEA rank you obtained. You can get the following in MIT Chennai if belongs to general category.
1. Production engineering.
2. Automobile engineering.
3. Rubber and Plastic Technology
So from above chances for Aeronautical engineering are moderate.

Hello, every state has right to form its own rules of admission particularly for government colleges or government aided colleges. Hence if Tamil Nadu government insists on nativity rules, nothing can be done about this. We all have to just accept it as it is. However if I may ask, why insist on Tamil Nadu colleges via TNEA. You can get admission in any number of deemed to be universities spread across India or private unaided colleges. Can you please think on these lines? Best wishes to you.
