Click on the Login button.

Enter the username/password that you provided during registration.

Press the Login button.

After successful login, candidates have to find the "Open Provisional Allotment" button, now click on that.

The allotment gets generated. Usually, it takes a few seconds to a minute, once it's ready there will be a "Download Now" link, click that to download the allotment.

In such cases in TNEA counseling, candidates have to select & Decline, and Upward while practicing seat confirmation choices. This choice indicates that the candidate has declined the allotment but prefers to wait for allotment in the higher order of his/her choice in the ensuing upward movement.

If a candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted but wishes to wait for allotment in the higher order of his/her choice in the ensuing upward movement, then they have to opt for "Accept and Upward" while practicing choice confirmation options in online counselling process. For example, if the candidate is allotted a seat for choice 5, he/she can wait for choice 1,2,3,4. In case no better choice is available in an upward movement, then the candidate is confirmed with the previously allotted choice 5.

Once the candidates are allotted seats in TNEA counselling, they have the choice to practice various confirmation options. There are 6 available options with the candidates described below:
1. Accept and Join
A candidate who is satisfied with the seat allotted can download the provisional allotment order and can report to the college on the specified date for admission. The candidate will lose his/her allotted seat if failed to report to the college. Such not-reported candidates cannot participate in any subsequent rounds.

No, there is no age limit to apply for TNEA. However, note that the age limit is applicable at the time of admission based on the course and the institutes eligibility conditions. Therefore candidates must check the eligibility for the course and institute they are willing to apply for admission via TNEA 2026 counselling. TNEA stands for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions. The following candidates are considered as native of Tamil Nadu state:

  • Tamil Nadu candidates who have passed their Class VIII to Class XII standard in Tamil Nadu.

The application fee for TNEA is INR 500 for the general candidates and INR 250 for SC /SCA /ST category belonging to Tamil Nadu.

To apply for TNEA 2026, candidates have to meet the below requirements: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates). They should have passed the 10+2 exam from Tamil Nadu board or any equivalent board. They must have cleared any one of the HSC (Vocational Subject) with one of the Engineering related subjects namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
