At Tufts University, students are eligible for work study positions if they see a federal or Tufts work study award on their financial aid award letter. If students did not apply for financial aid or they do not have a work study award on their award letter, they are eligible to apply to non-work study positions on campus. International students studying in the US on a student visa may be eligible for on-campus employment only.

Tufts University does not offer any merit-based scholarships to any international students. However, overseas students who are financially on the weaker end can apply for need-based scholarships while applying to the university. Tufts fulfills the demonstrated financial need of all the admitted students. This demonstrated need is the difference between the annual cost to attend Tufts (including books, personal expenses, and transportation to campus) and the amount a student’s family is expected to contribute each year.

No merit-based scholarships are offered at Tufts Uni USA. Overseas students can apply for the need-based scholarships and the university intend to meet the 100% demonstrated financial need. IFSAA and CSS profile are two methods to apply for the financial aid at Tufts.

Based on the data derived from the US News & World Report, only 10 out of every 100 applicants get enrolled as a student at Tufts University. This makes Tufts a very competitive university to get into with an acceptance rate of 10%.
