Tufts University comprises of four beautiful campuses, each with its own character: urban, suburban, and rural. The University is located in Medford and Somerville, Massachusetts, with its main campus located on Walnut Hill which is about 8 km from Boston. With an acceptance rate of merely 10.5% for the Class of 2029, Tufts University is a highly competitve institution as it accepts approximately only 11 out of every 100 applicants on an average. However, students must not feel discouraged and fulfill all the admission requirements; standardized test scores, English language requirements & relevant documents in order to boost their chances of getting admitted in Tufts University. At Tufts University, students are eligible for work study positions if they see a federal or Tufts work study award on their financial aid award letter. If students did not apply for financial aid or they do not have a work study award on their award letter, they are eligible to apply to non-work study positions on campus. International students studying in the US on a student visa may be eligible for on-campus employment only.

Tufts University does not offer any merit-based scholarships to any international students. However, overseas students who are financially on the weaker end can apply for need-based scholarships while applying to the university. Tufts fulfills the demonstrated financial need of all the admitted students. This demonstrated need is the difference between the annual cost to attend Tufts (including books, personal expenses, and transportation to campus) and the amount a student’s family is expected to contribute each year.
