IIT Bombay accepts UCEED scores for admisison to the B.Des course. The round 2 cutoff has been released. As per the cutoff list, the round 2 closing rank for B.Des was 14 for the General AII India category candidates. Durign the IIT Bombay UCEED cutoff 2023 the last round cutoff closed at 16, it means candidates scoring 50 in UCEED will not be eligible to get into IIT Bombay for B.Des admission. With a cutoff range of 50 to 80, candidates can choose IIT Hyderabad and IIT Guwahati for admission to the B.Des course.

IIT Bombay will release the question paper and answer keys for UCEED 2026 soon after the conclusion of the design entrance exam. However, it may be noted that the order in which a question appears may differ for each candidate. So, the candidates must use the Master Question Paper uploaded on the official UCEED website. Use it as a reference to upload comments or feedback against the draft key. If comments are uploaded using the Master Question Paper, it will help the committee to map the candidates comments/queries to the right question.

It is recommended that you solve sample papers for UCEED as early as possible in your exam preparation. For instance, you can start solving sample papers once you complete a chapter. What you need to do is find out all the problems related to the topic and solve. But take care not to dabble with questions that are related to topics that you haven not started at all. It is because it will only be an exercise in futility. You can keep on solving sample papers up to the last few days leading up to the exam. Note that as you complete the syllabus, you should be able to attempt the complete sample paper.

There is no specific number as such that you need to solve. But that being said, you must try to solve as many sample papers as possible for UCEED 2026. Note that at the initial stage, when you are starting of you exam preparation, you will not be able to solve the complete sample paper. It is only in the last few months, or may be weeks, that you can solve all the questions given in the sample papers. So, if you are able to solve may be say 10 odd sample papers before the exam, you will be in a good place to do well. There are multiple benefits of solving sample papers. IIT Bombay will release the question paper for the UCEED 2026 exam tentatively in the 4th week of January 2026. Typically, the question paper is released along side the draft answer key, a day or two after the conduct of the entrance exam. The candidate can download the question paper online. No log-in is required to download the question paper. Simply click on the question papers link; the question paper will open in downloadable pdf format. Download the question paper and also the answer key.

The sample paper will contain similar types of questions to the ones asked in UCEED exam. So, by solving them, candidates will be able to develop problem-solving and time-management skills.
Another thing is previous years' questions papers help to understand the types of questions asked, marking scheme, difficulty level, etc.

The first thing the candidate needs to do is solve sample papers of UCEED to practice for the exam. Once they are done with that, the candidate may solve sample papers of other exams. For instance, the candidate may solve sample papers of NID and NIFT. But when solving sample papers of other popular exams, it is important to ensure that you are following the UCEED syllabus. It is because there is no point in solving problems that are not included in the UCEED syllabus to prepare for the exam. Note that the difficulty level and syllabus of UCEED are not a complete mirror image of NID and NIFT.

In the last few months leading up to the UCEED 2026 exam, the candidate needs to follow this routine: If you have maintained a note, ensure you regularly go through the important points. Do timely revision of all the topics, especially the sticky concepts. Solve as many sample papers you can. Also take mock tests to get into the exam mood.
