During Round 1 of the UCEED cutoff 2026, the closing rank was 14 for B.Des admission among the students belonging to the General AI category. For the UCEED Round 2 cutoff 2026, the cutoff rank can be more competitive or relaxed depending on the availability of seats.

Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible. Only those students who have passed Class XII (or equivalent) in the year 2025 in all subjects or are appearing in the year 2026 in ANY STREAM (Science, Commerce, or Arts & Humanities) for the first time are eligible to appear for the UCEED 2026 [See ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPEARING IN UCEED for complete details]. The counseling for UCEED 2025 will commence on March 14, 2025. The counseling process will have five seat allotment rounds.

The candidate is allowed to withdraw seats till the 4th round of counseling. However, after the announcement of the last round of seat allocation, an option to withdraw/decline an accepted/allotted seat is not allowed.

To avoid any last-minute unforeseen transaction issues, you should pay the seat acceptance fee for a round well before the end time/date of the corresponding round.

If the fee is not paid within the given deadline, allotment will be cancelled. Also, such seats will be offered to the candidate next in the order of merit.

Yes, the seat-acceptance fee paid by the candidate will be adjusted against the institute fees of the admitting institute at the time of joining. In case the candidate
declines the offered seat after remitting the seat acceptance fee, the refund of the seat acceptance fee will be done per the policies of the admitting institute.

So, carefully go through the counseling process.

The candidate has to pay the seat-acceptance fee only once. If the candidate is allotted another seat (because they chose the ‘float’ option), they aren't required to pay the fee again.

However, the seat-acceptance fee will have to be paid within the given deadline. Or else, the allotment will be cancelled.

UCEED seat allotment will be provisional and will be confirmed by admitting institutes only after fees are paid, documents are duly verified, and their formalities are completed.

If any of the steps are left incomplete, the seat allotment can be cancelled.

In such a case, the vacant seats will be offered to the candidate next in the order of merit.
