For the students belonging to the General AI quota, the IIT Bombay UCEED cutoff 2025 was 14 in the last round. The cutoff rank varies for different rounds and categories. Candidates can refer to the table below to view the category-wise UCEED cutoff 2025 for the last round.

Candidates who have appeared in the UCEED 2024 exam are exempted from appearing in the VUNET 2024 exam. However, you need to meet the program-specific eligibility criteria prepscribed for the exam.

IIT Bombay will declare results of UCEED 2026 exam on March 6, 2026. The scorecards will be available for download only from March 10, 2026. So, you will not be able to download the scorecard on result day.

UCEED 2026 exam results will be declared on March 6, 2026. Scorecards will be available for download from March 10, 2026. On result day, the candidate will only be able to see their qualifying status and scores. 

The results will be declared for all candidates who have appeared in the entrance exam. However, the scorecard will contain the merit ranks, Part B, and total score only for shortlisted candidates.

No, IIT Bombay has not revised the syllabus for UCEED 2026. As per the syllabus for the UCEED exam, the question paper continues to have two parts - Part A and Part B. Also, Part A will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode and will have three sections NAT MSQ, and MCQ). However, Part B has two sections - 1) the Drawing-based section, and 2) the Design Aptitude Section.

The application form for UCEED 2026 is open till October 31, 2025.

Here we provide the category-wise UCEED application fee.

  • Female candidates (all categories) and SC/ST/PwD candidates have to pay INR 2,000.
  • All other candidates need to pay INR 4,000 as the application fee.

Mode of fee payment

The fee has to be paid online using credit card/ debit card/ internet banking. Note that the UCEED application fee is no-refundable. This means, once the fee is paid, it will not be refunded whether you appear in the UCEED 2026 exam or not.

Eligibility criteria for UCEED 2026 are given below.

  • Age limit - Candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2001. In the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, there is a relaxation of 5 years.

  • Number of attempts - Candidate is allowed to appear in UCEED exam for a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years.

  • Academic requirements - Candidate must have passed 10+2 exam in 2025 or 2026. Those who appeared for first time in their qualifying examination in 2024 or earlier are NOT eligible.

The counseling for UCEED 2026 will be conducted online as a Joint Seat Allocation process. The counseling will be conducted in a centralized manner.

IIT Bombay will conduct counseling registration from March 2026. All candidates who qualify in the UCEED 2026 exam will be eligible to register for counseling.

The allotment of seats for admission to the B.Des programme offered by participating colleges is based on the following parameters:

  • UCEED 2026 merit rank of the candidate
  • College option selected during registration.
