To do well in UCEED 2026 exam, improve these skills: Improve your drawing skills - Practice free-hand drawing. Use 2 grades of pencil - H-grade to do rough work and B to do quick sketch and shading. Work on improving your creativity and be innovative Solve previous years question papers to improve problem-solving and time-management skills. Understand the basic concept of drawing, and learn various forms of drawing - composition, proportion, line drawing, etc. Taking mock tests will help the candidate get an idea as to how much time it takes to solve a section or question.

UCEED 2026 question paper will have two parts. Part A will be online and Part B will be offline. Part A will include Numerical Answer Type, Multiple Select Question and Multiple Choice Question. Part B will have sketching and drawing questions.

The Part A of the UCEED question paper will include questions from Visualization and spatial ability, Observation and design sensitivity, Environmental and social awareness, Analytical and logical reasoning, Language and creativity, and Design thinking and problem solving topics. Note that IIT Bombay will release the detailed syllabus at the time of issue of the admission notification or sometime thereabout. The candidate needs to only follow the updated and detailed syllabus to prepare for the UCEED 2025 exam. Note that each topic will include sub-topics. The important topics for UCEED 2026 Part B are given below.
- Drawing: Ability to draw products, people or scenes in proportion with good line quality, composition, proportion, perspective and shading.

The UCEED exam will have two parts - Part A and Part B. Part A will include Numerical Answer Type NAT Multiple Select Question (MSQ), Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Meanwhile, Part B will include drawing and aptitude-based questions. Note that in the previous edition of the exam, Part B include only sketching-based question. So, starting UCEED 2024, the candidate also needs to prepare for aptitude based questions that will be asked in Part B. Questions for the aptitude section will evaluate the ability of the candidate to practically and appropriately respond to problems/situations with ingenuity and empathy.

Visual and spatial reasoning section of UCEED will include pictorial and diagrammatic questions that will evaluate candidates' understanding of the transformation and manipulation of 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships. IIT Bombay will declare results of CEED exam on March 4, 2026. It will be declared online at ceed.iitb.ac.in. To check results, candidate needs to log in to Candidate portals using their login id.

IIT Bombay released the admission notification for UCEED 2026 on October 1, 2025. Candidates can check out the notification online at the UCEED admission portal - uceed.iitb.ac.in.
UCEED notification carries updates about the exam, like when the exam will be conducted, deadlines to fill out the application form, etc.
