No, one can not join IDC IIT Bombay without qualifying UCEED for B.Des. The eligibility criteria for getting admission into the college is that one should have passed the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent ) from the recognised Board/Examination.
UCEED is an exam of 300 marks. It has 3 sections. It is usually conducted in the January month and the results are declared in February. The examination is an MCQ-based question paper.

Yes, CEPT University accepts UCEED scores for admission to its BDes (Hons.) courses. To be eligible candidates must pass a Class 12 with 50% aggregate from Gujarat state board or any other State boards or CBSE/CISCE/NIOS/IB. Candidates must apply and appear for the UCEED and score good aggregate to grab the seat.

No, you can't join Chitkara Design School's Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) programme without UCEED scores unless you have valid scores from the Chitkara University Design and Aptitude Test (CUDAT):
Eligibility
To be eligible for the BFA program, you must have passed 12th grade in any stream or an equivalent exam. You must also clear the CUDAT, which is an online design aptitude test, and attend a personal interview.

To study BDes at IIT Bombay, candidate must appear in the UCEED and attain the require the neccessary rank. IIT Bombay BDes Cutoff 2025 among the General AI category candidates was 14, in the first round. In 2024 also, the cutoff rank for admission to BDes at IIT Bombay was 14.
Among the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff rank was closed at 13. The cutoff rank for the OBC AI category candidates was 16 in 2024.

A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2025 OR 2026 to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2026. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible. Only those students who have passed Class XII (or equivalent) in the year 2025 in all subjects or are appearing in the year 2026 in ANY STREAM (Science, Commerce, or Arts & Humanities) for the first time are eligible to appear for the UCEED 2026 [See ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPEARING IN UCEED for complete details]. The UCEED entrance exam is bifurcated into two parts namely, Part A and Part B.

The counseling for UCEED 2025 will commence on March 14, 2025. The counseling process will have five seat allotment rounds.
The candidate is allowed to withdraw seats till the 4th round of counseling. However, after the announcement of the last round of seat allocation, an option to withdraw/decline an accepted/allotted seat is not allowed.

To avoid any last-minute unforeseen transaction issues, you should pay the seat acceptance fee for a round well before the end time/date of the corresponding round.
If the fee is not paid within the given deadline, allotment will be cancelled. Also, such seats will be offered to the candidate next in the order of merit.

Yes, the seat-acceptance fee paid by the candidate will be adjusted against the institute fees of the admitting institute at the time of joining. In case the candidate
declines the offered seat after remitting the seat acceptance fee, the refund of the seat acceptance fee will be done per the policies of the admitting institute.
So, carefully go through the counseling process.
