Hello,
The aspirants completed Masters in Commerce, Arts or Management can apply for the UGC NET exam. There is no age limit to appear in the NET Exam. Well, if you want to gain the UGC fellowships worth INR 25000 per month for studies. And for research, you need to clear the JRF cut-off. The Age limit is 30 years for JRF (For Female and Reserved Category students the age limit is 35 years)
The NET Exam is conducted in two phases- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is conducted in the Aptitude section and Paper 2 is conducted in the Subject selected by candidates in the Post graduation (Management in your case)

Hello Avinash, The candidates can apply for UGC NET exam on the basis of their post graduation subject. As you say you have done M.A. In Personnel Management and PGDBM, according to this you can appear for the NET exam in UGC NET Labour Welfare/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/ Labour and Social Welfare/Human Resource Management and UGC NET Computer Science & Applications. But you have to fulfill the basic requirements of the exam such their education and age criteria. You should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters. Hello Vicky,
The UGC NET exam is conducted twice a year to determine the candidature for an assistant professor posts in the universities or the JRF awards. The eligibility for the exam is post graduation degree from recognised university. The final year candidates in their post-graduation are also eligible however they will be awarded with the certificate after the successful completion of the master's degree. Hi Megna,
You are eligible for the NET exam for teaching assistant professorship but the minimum eligible criteria is to score atleast 55% in you MBA course.

Hi Ashwini, You can take admission for NET exam because MBA is also recognise as a PG courses but you need to have 55% atleast during your academics. Regards, Deepak.

Hi friends,
Surely, you will get admission only after satisfying the minimum percentage of 55 in your PG course and your university from where you have done your MBA should be recognised in India.

No, you are not eligible for UGC NET. You have to complete your Master's degree first, then only you will be eligible to appear for NET.

The candidates after qualifying the NET Exam can apply for the vacant posts in the colleges or university. UGC NET for Sciences and other subjects demands a Post-Graduation and an OG Diploma, which is not equivalent to Post Graduation / M.Tech or M.Sc. Degree is not accepted. You should pursue a PG Degree like M.Tech or M.Sc. And then apply for NET-UGC Test.
