Hello Shilpa, CBSE has made some changes in UGC NET Exam Pattern 2018. As per the latest pattern CBSE UGC NET exam is conducted in two papers I. e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 It is a common General Aptitude Test which consists questions based on Reasoning Ability, Comprehension Reading, Mental Ability, and General Awareness etc. It consists total 50 questions of 100 marks, all are compulsory and the time duration of Paper 1 is one hour. Paper 2 It consists 100 MCQs type questions based on subjects each of 2 marks. The time duration of Paper 2 is two hours. There is no minus marking on any negative answer. I think a certificate from Lucknow University is better but for different courses it may vary. Try checking online.

Hello Souvik,
The candidates are allowed to apply for their post-graduation subject or its related subject if there is no subject of your post-graduation. The UCG NET exam is conducted for the lectureship at the university or the junior research fellowship. As you have completed the Masters in Pharmacy you may apply for the CSIR NET Earth Science. Check the official notification to know in details.

After that, two choices are given, one is JRF i.e. junior research fellowship and other is assistant professor. Both are directed by the central government. You will get a stipend for JRF and get placed as a professor in colleges if you choose the assistant professor option.
