Hello, The aspirants who have completed Masters in Arts with subjects like sociology and other subjects are definitely eligible to become lecturers and researchers. Students with distance or regular degree from a recognised college or university can appear for the UGC NET Exam. The UGC NET Exam eligibility is that you must not be more than 30 years (35 years for women and reserved candidates). The UGC NET Exam is conducted in the month of July and now you can appear for the UGC NET Exam to be conducted in the month of December. The National Testing Agency conducts the UGC NET Exam for all those aspirants who are interested in the field of research or teaching.
Recently the exam is conducted from 20th June 2019 to 28th June 2019.
As per the exam pattern of this exam, there was no negative marking in both Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Those who appeared in this exam will be able to check their result on 15th July 2019.

The old papers of UGC NET are available online from various websites as well as from UGC and CBSE NET websites. But I wish to share that the format has been changed in the recent years and it is heard that the next UGC NET may be conducted by National Testing Agency and they might change something again.

The UGC NET Exam is over and the results have been declared. The exam was conducted in more than 80 subjects and the UGC NET Exam cut-off score was different for each subject. There are many career options after qualifying the UGC NET Exam. There are more than 80 subjects in the UGC NET Exam and each subject has its own importance. You can pursue UGC NET Examination. The only eligibility is that you have to have minimum 55% in your Masters from recognised Indian university irrespective of your age. Regards,
