No, if you have mehendi on your hand, you may not be allowed to appear for the UGC NET exam as it can interfere with the biometric verification process, which usually requires clear fingerprints, and could lead to denial of entry to the exam hall.

The National Testing Agency will release the UGC NET 2026 provisional Answer Key for the June session on the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates will be able to check it by visiting the official website. The NTA will also release the UGC NET June session result 2026 based on the revised answer key.

Obtaining access to your UGC NET admit card requires a visit to the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. University Grants Commission (UGC) lets students who participate in their Master's degree final year examinations or have finished their Master's degree to sit for the NET exam. A candidate does not need to finish or enroll in PG course education to apply for admissions in the National Eligibility Test (NET). Candidates aiming to participate in the NET exam need to hold a minimum 55% score from their Master's degree or equivalent examinations. The NET exam application fee costs INR 1,100 for applicants from the General category.

Yes, you can definitely try the UGC NET in Environmental Science if you hold a Master's degree in Botany. The UGC NET eligibility criteria also include that such applicants holding their Master's degrees in subjects allied to Environmental Science are acceptable too. Botany falls in that category as an allied subject. Thus, you can take up Environmental Science as your UGC NET subject. 

Except this, ensure you meet all other eligibility criteria

1. Marks: 55% aggregate at Master's degree level; for reserved categories it is 50%.
