Hello,
Yes, you can apply for the NET exam. But first, understand what is the NET exam? The UGC NET and CSIR NET exam are conducted for the lectureship and awards for junior fellowship. The Science stream candidates can apply for one of the five subjects that are life Science, earth Science, physical Science, chemical Science, and mathematical Science. While the UGC NET Exam is conducted for the 84 subjects for various stream candidates. The minimum eligibility for the CSIR NET Exam is post graduation degree, but the B.Tech candidates can also apply for the NET JRF exam. Hi friend,
Yes, you are eligible to apply for NET Examination. NET Stands for National Eligiblity Test and this examination was conducted By UGC (University Grant Commission) twice in a year, June and December.
- And Only those candidates are eligible for NET Who have completed his Post graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised university and must have scored minimum 55% marks in your Post Graduation. Final year Post graduate candidates are also apply for NET Examination.

Before choosing a subject, first you should decide in which field you want to make career I. e. zoology or HR. Accordingly you should select the subject. The subject selection should be based on your career goals and interest. You can choose zoology or HR and Personal Management.

If you have done M.Sc in zoology and wants to become a researcher or lecturer, then you should go for CSIR NET Earth Sciences or CSIR NET Life Sciences. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts the NET exam on the bi-yearly basis for those who want to make their career in Research and Lectureship field. UGC NET/JRF gives eligibility to join any Higher Education institution in India. SET-State Eligibility Test is applicable to the states only.

Sorry, you would not be eligible for NET. This subject is not available in UGC NET subject list. You can go for GATE exam and thereafter apply for Ph.D.

Yes, Pharmacy students are eligible to appear for NET exam. If candidates have post graduate Diploma in pharmacy, they can apply for CSIR NET Earth Science. Must check out the details related to the exam - https://www.eduncle.com/csir-net-exam
They should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters, if they are from General/ OBC Category or if they belong to SC/ST/PwD categories they should have scored minimum 50% aggregate. To apply for the CSIR NET exam candidates maximum age should be 28 years. SC/ST/OBC/PWD/female applicants have upto 5 years relaxation in age criteria.
