As per the Guardian University Guide 2021, Teesside University ranked joint #68 out of 121 institutions. By the Complete University Guide - University Ranking (UK) 2021, it was ranked #95. Teesside University had a rank in the 801-1000 range on the Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2022, and in the 301-350 range on Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2023.

Higher education in Belfast is an excellent investment for your future, especially when you count Queen's University's scholarships for international students. International students will save on fees and living costs – but still, achieve a globally-recognized degree from one of the oldest universities in the UK.

Queen’s University Belfast has over 3,500 international students from 96 different countries. When we look at the breakdown of Queen’s Belfast students on the basis of their domicile, we find that 1,440 students belong to England, 135 students belong to Scotland, 80 students belong to Wales, 18,700 students belong to Northern Ireland, and 25 students were classified as other-UK. When we look at non-UK students, we find that 1,135 belong to European Union and 3,855 belong to non-European Union countries, thereby taking the total non-UK student number to 4,985.

Queen’s University Belfast provides state-of-the-art facilities like health Science laboratories, business, engineering, and computing. There is a financial trading room with Bloomberg terminals and innovative engineering hubs. It also has an award-winning library known as McClay Library. The University has invested £700 mn in the development of a new Student Centre, School of Biological Sciences, Computer Science, and Accommodation buildings.

Queen's University Belfast is a member of the respected Russell Group (which is the UK's Ivy League) and is one of the oldest universities in the UK and Ireland. The Guardian has ranked Queen's Belfast within the top 50 universities in the UK since 2021.

As per QS World University Rankings 2023, the Queen's University Belfast has been ranked #233. According to the US News and World Report 2023, the Queen's Belfast has been ranked at #295 in the best global universities, #123 in the best global universities in Europe, and #29 in the best global universities in the UK. Its courses, such as Arts and Humanities, Microbiology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Food Science and Technology, etc. have been well received on ranking indices. The University has ranked joint 1st in the UK for research intensity by the Complete University Guide.

Queen's University accepts the IELTS Academic and TOEFL internet-based tests for direct admission to undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. For IELTS Academic, candidates need to score 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in all four elements of the test and for TOEFL iBT the university requires 80 as the minimum marks followed by different section scores given below:

  • Listening- 17
  • Reading - 18
  • Speaking - 20
  • Writing – 17

Students who live in Northern Ireland will be charged differently from students who live in England. Students who live in Northern Ireland need to pay £4,710 per annum for full-time undergraduate programs and those who live in England need to pay tuition fees of £9,250 per annum for full-time undergraduate programs.
