The Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) is a mandatory fee (GBP 776 or INR 1 Lakhs per year) paid by Indian students for the healthcare services offered by the National Health Service (NHS).

This allows students to get all healthcare benefits of a UK resident. The IHS covers hospital treatment, diagnostics, mental health services, dental services, and urgent medical needs.

Indian students struggling to pay their fees at Liverpool Uni are advised to contact the Student Fees Office immediately. Students also have the option to suspend their studies for some time. This will not lead to any new accural of tuition fees and gives students the time to collect the required funds.

The suspension of studies will require an academic approval from the Uni of Liverpool.

Yes, Indian students can transfer from the Liverpool University campus in UK to its XJTLU campus in China. To do that students will need to enroll in one of the Uni Liverpool's mobility programs. These programs allow students to spend a "Year in China".

Yes, you must prove your knowledge of English to at least level B1 on the CEFR scale to get a Skilled Worker Visa UK. The most common way to do this is - by taking any Secure English Language Test (SELT) such as - IELTS for UKVI or PTE Academic UKVI.

Indian students studying in the UK, who are going to transition from having a student visa to either a Graduate Visa or Skilled Worker Visa in UK are generally not required to prove their proficiency again. The idea is - if you have been living or studying in the UK since last 12 months then you need not to prove fluency in English.
