The sandwich course usually incorporates 9-12 months of placement/internship in the original course. This increases the duration of any given regular course by almost an year. Thus, 3 year's sandwich courses in UK become 4 year courses and the 1 year master's or MBA courses become 2 year courses.

In 2026, the latest changes on the UK student visa include:
- The minimum cost you need to show in your bank account for the cost of living in the UK has increased to £1,529/month in London and £1,171 elsewhere.
- The launch of eVisa facility
- Undergraduate students will not be able to bring their dependents in the UK. Only students coming for postgraduate research and above courses are allowed to do so.

Practically it's not possible to study in UK under INR 10 L. Even the tuition for the cheapest universities in UK start from 11,000 GBP.
You can apply for scholarships that may help to lower the tuition cost to be paid by you to below 10 lakhs. Universities in UK also offer 50-100% tuition fee wavers or scholarships to meritorious students from abroad.
