The cutoff for KCET at the VTU-affiliated University B.D.T. College of Engineering differs each year with the number of applicants, number of seats available, and the popularity of the branch of engineering. Generally, cutoffs tend to be higher for more popular branches such as Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), that is within 5,000-15,000 rank but may range from 15,000-30,000 rank in lesser sought after branches such as Civil and Mechanical Engineering. Getting admission into VTU affiliated Visvesvaraya Technological University affiliated University B.D.T. College of Engineering is moderately competitive. Admission is mainly on the basis of rank in KCET, COMEDK UGET or JEE Main. Good rank in KCET or COMEDK for general category students, but cutoffs may differ according to the stream and the college demand. Yes, Admission through COMEDK UGET or JEE Main to B.E./B.Tech courses of University B.D.T. College of Engineering -affiliated VTU. COMEDK is the entrance exam for some private engineering colleges in Karnataka and there are students getting admission on the basis of their valid scores in the JEE Main.

For instance, in regard to B.E./B.Tech courses, there is an annual tuition fee between ?50,000 and ?1,00,000, though it may be less in regard to students from reserved categories or availing scholarships. Eligibility criteria for B.E/B.Tech in the University B.D.T. College of Engineering, which is an affiliate of the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).eligibility Criteria The candidates must have passed 10+2 (PUC) or equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects.
Minimum Marks: A minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST students) in the qualifying examination.
Entrance Examination: The admissions would be granted based on the scores obtained in KCET or COMEDK UGET. Those with valid score of JEE Main are also admitted.
