M.Sc. in Biochemistry - Batch of 2022

My college faculty is good.
Placements: The final year cohort had 849 students with approximately 385 securing placements solidifying the college status as Kerala’s premiere placement institution. The minimum salary package stands at 3 LPAs with prominent recruiters including Wipro, Accenture, TCS, Amazon, MRF and EY offering roles in web development, cybersecurity programing and more.
Infrastructure: Regarding the infrastructure, the college boasts an outstanding digital library unparalleled in Kerala alongside ample computer labs and Wi-Fi access for all necessary study materials. The classrooms are equipped with projectors and Wi-Fi ensuring a conducive learning environment. The college hostel provides quality meals at reasonable rates.
Faculty: The faculty’s teaching quality helps in receiving top scores with St. Thomas College holding 64th NRF ranking and being Kerala leading NRF ranked institution. The exams are conducted by promptly adhering to the syllabus of California with a moderate difficulty level.
Other: My college scholarships are provided by government rules and are category based.

B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2023

I am totally dissatisfied with this college.
Placements: There is nothing good to say about the college. Nearly 20 percent of students get placement. I am just talking about the B.Sc. in nursing course. About other medical courses, I am not pretty sure how many students got their placement. They offered 7100 rupees if you applied for a nursing job in their own hospital.
Infrastructure: Again, there is nothing special to say about the facilities available at this college for students. They have a high-speed Wi-Fi connection but students are not allowed to connect. They have a big library with no books, which is very useful to most of the students. They have slightly good classrooms. They have lifts but are not allowed. This is irritating because my classes run on the 5th floor so for every small task, we have to go down and up repeatedly in a limited time period. Because the principal is a devil in the human body.
Faculty: No, absolutely not. Teachers are not helpful, except for a few. And most of the teachers are not well qualified. They only have a degree but not the knowledge of how to teach or how to behave with students. Few teachers are very good but the environment on campus is totally full of fear and most of the students are suffering from depression, even me. I am also one of them.
Other: I got a very low score in my NEET exam due to my depression. After 2 years, I decided to pursue my bachelor's degree in nursing from this college but my decision was totally wrong. I think the whole teaching staff should change their behaviour towards the students so that they feel free to come to college regularly.

Review of Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology.
Placements: Almost 90% of students got placed in our course in EHCC, Fortis, SMS Hospital, etc. The highest salary offered is Rs. 1,20,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 80,000 per month. Almost 90% of students got internships from our course in SMS Hospital, EHCC, Fortis, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides excellent infrastructure and facilities. We have air conditioned-classrooms. All classrooms have projectors. The library is air-conditioned. It has all books. The hostel rooms have air conditioners. The quality of the food in the mess is good and hygienic. Our college provides sports and games facilities. Our college has a huge hospital.
Faculty: All teachers are very helpful. They prepare us for exams. They provide knowledge. Our department teachers are fully qualified in their fields. This course is relevant. Students are doing their practice. Semester exams are not much difficult. The university exams are tricky but easy. The pass percentage is 55%.
Other: I chose this course because I want to do something different in the medical field. The best thing about our course is that it provides good quality of life to patients. Our college conducts events. The relationship between seniors and juniors is good. Our college surroundings are healthy. Our college provides scholarships to students who score above 95% every year. Our course provides clinical exercises. Our college has sports teams.

Good college according to fees .
Placements: The strength of my batch is 70. Seventy students are in every batch every year. Placements are sometimes difficult and sometimes some students are placed in hospitals only after internship. Internship occurs in Mahatma Gandhi hospital only. Overall it is a good experience.
Infrastructure: There is a separate building for physiotherapy students. Wi-Fi is available but only for staff and not for students. The canteen red peppers is really good. Central library is the university library for all students. All the classrooms, hostels, mess, library is fully air conditioned. Various grounds are available for sports.
Faculty: The teachers are highly knowledgeable, skilled and helpful and guide students on every step. The curriculum is relevant and prepares students for work field. Exams are conducted annually every year. Passing marks are 50 percent in both theory and practical.

Our college has good infrastructure and helpful faculty members.
Placements: There are no placements for our course like in other courses. This course and college teach you how to stand on your own feet. Companies do not come here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. The campus is not huge compared to other medical colleges. The classrooms are spacious, and the labs are well-equipped. Hostel rooms are spacious, and the quality of food is average. Medical facilities are available at the doorstep. Sports and games facilities are available in the college.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and helpful. If you ask any doubt, they will be ready to help you. Some teachers are a little rude and don't show much interest in teaching. But overall, the teacher and principal are good. The course curriculum is good, but the patient flow is very low.
