No, IELTS is not strictly mandatory for TH Bingen admissions, but Indian students are definitely required to provide an English-language proficiency certificate for English-taught programs.
Only providing a Medium of Instruction (MOI) would not be enough; the students would need to submit an official test like TOEFL iBT, TOEIC or the Cambridge Certificate. A B2 proficiency is required for Bingen English-taught courses.

Yes, the TH Bingen admissions are considered easy and accessible for Indian students in comparison to the other popular German universities such as the TU9.
This university follows an 'open admissions policy' for its courses. This means that the admissions are not based on strict requirements but on the minimum eligibility criteria.
Indian students meeting this criteria get a seat till the seats are filled.

Generally, Indian students need a UG degree with a minimum of 60% to 70% for most of the courses available at the University of Applied Sciences (TH Bingen).
Note: German universities use a grading system which where 1.0 is the best and 4.0 is the minimum passing criteria.
For TH Bingen admissions, you would need an APS certificate and meet the language requirements.

The concept of placement does not work in Germany in the Indian sense. Due to the zero tuition fee for Indian students at TH Bingen, the return on investment (ROI) can be good.
Living expenses and the mandatory semester fee become your only expenses. The ROI then heavily depends on your ability to land a German PSW for which TH Bingen courses are eligible.

Studying at TH Bingen is highly affordable for Indian students due to its zero tuition fee model. Like most of the other German public universities, it charges EUR 0 in tuition for international students.
Other public universities like the State of Baden-Württemberg charge around EUR 1,500 (INR 1.62L).
For private universities, this amount can range between EUR 5,000 to EUR 20,00 (INR 5.40L to INR 21.6L).
Verdict: TH Bingen is cheaper than many German public universities and only a semester fee is required to be paid there.
(EUR 1 = INR 108.06)

The University of Applied Sciences offers courses which are heavily practice-oriented, application-focused and industry-integrated. The reason is its practical style of teaching. It helps students to tackle the actual workplace issues.
But traditional universities like TUM and LMU prioritize theoretical research and academic pathways.

No, the TH Bingen courses are not all entirely in English. There are only three programs which are taught in English (MSc Computer Science, MSc Environmental Sustainability and the Agricultural Sciences).
And all the other courses and almost all the UG programs are taught in English.
Indian students would require a B2 in German by obtaining some certifications.
