Students must talk about experiences and challenges that they've overcome, as that shows how the candidate takes on tasks during tough times. But again, students must not overdo things and boast about themselves in the mode of explaining themselves. The Undergraduate Application Process:

Step 1: The Application Process can be made through the University of California App. 

Step 2: Check your requirements thoroughly, and see if your current qualifications are recognised.

Step 3: You should meet the UC Davis admission requirements checklist before applying:

• ACT and SAT scores

• Transcripts of your high school.

• Students need to provide a Self Reported Academic Record( SRAR).

• A minimum score of  6.5  and above in IELTS

• SOP

• Portfolio ( Audition depending on your chosen course )

Step 4: Make sure your English requirements meet the standards of the University.

Step 5: You can submit your application after your requirements are ready.

• Entrance exam ( you just take GRE or GMAT, LSAT, MCAT) if you're planning to apply for the required programs.
