In 2024, this university was placed at #256. This shows that in 2025, the university's position has declined slightly. In 2025, the University of Canterbury ranking in Times Higher Education ranking is #501-600. This university ranked at the same position in 2024. According to the comparison given below, in the rankings published by ARWU Rankings 2024, the University of Canterbury ranks better than Massey University as it showed a decline in it's rankings over the years, on the other hand, the University of Canterbury rankings stay constant since the year 2023.
