Lucknow University got affiliated with the University Grants Commission (UGC) in the year 1921. It is also affiliated with the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and Distance Education Council (DEC). Some other accreditations include the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), and Bar Council of India (BCI).
