Yes, there is a seat reservations at institute of distance and open learning - University of Mumbai also the 30% (horizontal) women seat as per state government.
The admission process for undergraduate courses:
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board
- The minimum percentage required for admission may vary depending on the course
For postgraduate courses:
- Candidates must have completed their undergraduate degree from a recognized university

Talking about seat reservations at Mumbai University, 13% of seats are reserved for SC candidates, 7% are reserved for ST candidates and 19% of seats are reserved for OBC category candidates. Other than the SC, ST and OBC categories, 11% of seats are reserved combined for NT (B), NT (C), NT (D) and DT (A) categories. Beyond all these, 10% of seats are reserved for General categories and there are a few seats also reserved for women, SBC, Physically Handicapped and other categories.
