Dr. D.Y Patil Medical College was originally affiliated to Constituent school of DY Patil University Mumbai and the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik (MUHS), but now it is a Deemed University. It is UGC and AICTE approved. DYPUSM Mumbai is a private university offering 20 plus courses. DYPCET is the major exam accepted for D.Y Patil admissions.

Although It should be your personal decision to repeat or not but If your HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) exam score from Mumbai University was 42% and you feel that you might do better, you could think about taking the test again. Repeating the HSC might provide you the chance to strengthen your subject-matter knowledge and comprehension, which could result in higher grades.

Eligibility criteria for admission in MCA at Institute of Distance & Open Learning (IDOL), University of Mumbai: Candidates who have passed graduation in any faculty with the 45 percent marks in aggregate (40 percent marks for reserved category) and Mathematics at XII or higher level from a recognized Institute/ University are eligible to apply.
