Yes, Mumbai University offers hostel facility to its students. The University of Mumbai has 4 boys’ hostels and 3 girls’ hostels. The hostels have all the basic and advanced amenities like water purifiers, a common room, recreation room, mess, TV, laundry services, Wi-Fi connectivity, Television, Geyser, Newspapers, Mess, Gym and surveillance system etc. There is a separate hostel for international students.

Final selection for BTech (Biotechnology and Bioinformatics) is based on merit score obtained in the entrance exam conducted by the University. The entrance test will be of one and a half hours duration. There will be one question paper containing 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). It totally depends on the rank and the category you belong to SC, ST, OBC. If you are in general you should be under 2500-3000 to qualify. The 10+2 must be completed in the science stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a recognized board.
