University of Mumbai (MU) as of yet has not released any information regarding scholarships offering 100% waivers. However, students can check out the following vibrant scholarship schemes:
- Financial assistance to students representing backward classes: INR 10 Lacs for SC/ ST/ NT/ DT and SBC students.
- Financial assistance to needy students: INR 1 crore as a corpus fund to students from economically backward class.
- Book Bank Scheme: Financial and academic assistance through the Book Bank Scheme for the backward class students.
- Group Insurance Scheme: Started in collaboration with National Insurance Company

University of Mumbai has more than 56 departments and 700+ affiliated colleges with around 5,00,000 students enrolled. The university has even established 2 satellite campuses at Vidyanagri and Fort locations. Some of popular colleges are St. Xavier's College, K J Somaiya College of Arts & Commerce, etc

Mumbai University admissions are held on the basis of merit-cum-entrance. Students must clear their previous qualifying examination and appear for the prescribed entrance test for the particular course they are interested in.
