University of Technology Sydney

According to an unofficial source, both universities are good for Engineering courses and provide quality Engineering courses. UTS is situated right in the city of Sydney, whereas, the University of Wollongong is situated in the outskirts of Sydney in the city of Wollongong. The choice to study Engineering will be ultimately dependent of the choice of students, however, a brief description of both universities is given below:

• The University of Wollongong Engineering programme has a distinct focus on building a strong foundation of Core Engineering principles and knowledge such as Physics, Mathematics and Engineering Design. For BE / BTech courses at UOW, the first-year tuition fee ranges between INR 18 L - 21 L, and for MEng courses, it is INR 20 L - 21 L
• On the other hand, UTS has a more diverse course structure, with a wide range of electives available to students. The tuition fees for Undergraduate Engineering courses is INR 18 L - 28 L, and for MEng courses, it is INR 22 L - 34 L

All those applicants who do not meet the specified University of Technology Sydney admission requirements can submit GMAT score or show at least four years of full-time work experience. In such a case, the overall minimum score required is 550. Given below is the University of Technology, Sydney admission requirements for MBA:

• The applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent or higher qualification or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications which show the potential to study graduate courses at UTS
• Minimum academic requirement: At least 5.25 GPA out of 7, with less than 10% fail grades
• English language proficiency score: IELTS with overall score of 6.5 with a writing score of 6.0 / TOEFL iBT score of 79-93 with a Writing score of 21 / PTE score of 58-64 with a writing score of 50

The duration of the UTS MBA is two years. The entry requirements that the applicants are required to meet for admission to UTS MBA are:

• Australian bachelor’s degree or overseas equivalent or higher qualification or the applicants must submit other evidence of General and Professional qualifications which demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies at UTS
• To get into the UTS MBA, the applicants are required to have a GPA of 5.25 out of 7 with less than 10% fail grades
• English language test score

What if the academic requirements are not met?

If the applicants do not meet the above-mentioned UTS MBA entry requirements, they may still be considered on the basis of:

• A GMAT score of 550 OR
• A minimum of at least 4 years’ full-time or equivalent, relevant work experience

The applicants who are applying with a GMAT should achieve an overall minimum score of 550, with 25 in Verbal, 35 in Quantitative and 4.0 in AWA.
