Dear Akshay,
You can apply as there is no restriction to what you want to study in US universities as long as you can show interest and have enough intellect in the area of interest. Remember that you need not select your specialization at the time of application itself. In the course of time, you will be allowed to select your desired major or the department and the education counselors will guide you choose the appropriate major basis your education performance. As mentioned by Harleen on the previous reply they might suggest for foundation courses. I will strongly advice you visit the websites of both the universities and have a bet

Hi Tharun, most universities require a four years bachelor degree, applicants holding a three year bachelor degree must typically get their degree evaluated by certain third party evaluation agencies like WES etc. That said, admission requirements vary with universities and also depends on an individual's profile including academic grades, GRE scores, work experience and so on. It is best if you check the university department pages and also email your profile to a few universities and hear what they have to say. University of California - Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon University, Purdue University and University of Illinois at Urbana-Cham

Hi Kunal, are you looking for bachelor's degree? I am afraid it's too late and they won't be accepting any application now. However you can start preparing for the next intake. The application portal for 2017 intake will open in August this year so keep checking the portal for all the updates. The sooner you apply the better. You must ideally submit the online form by February 15th as per MIT's deadlines but don't wait till the last date. Here are the important links-

All the best.

Hi Fardeen,
Salary is a function of various factors - i.e. (i) the institute where you have completed your B.Tech + M.Tech. e.g. a graduate from a top institute will command a higher salary. (ii) Your work experience - organization and type of work profile (iii) city - a metropolitan city will have higher salaries as compared to smaller cities and towns. (iv) Your current organization - i.e. where you will be joining - an MNC usually has higher salaries as compared to other organizations. (v) Your work profile i.e. Manager/ AVP, etc. Thus one cannot allocate a figure. The salary band can range between 03- 25 lakhs per annum.

To pursue Computer Science from the top colleges in Us, you need to have studied basic Mathematics and Computer Science in your high school. If you haven't the college might offer foundation programs before your main course classes begin. However, since you didn't have both the subjects in 12th the duration of foundation classes will be very long and the college might give preference to other applicants who have studied these subjects.

There is a vast difference in terms of education standards, infrastructure, education flexibility, global exposure, networking and so on. Additionally students are exposed to newer subjects and courses unheard of before. There are several other factors. Most universities in US are reputed worldwide, infact USA is home to majority of the best universities in the world. Hope it helped.

Dear Aryan,
It would help if you could specify as to which course you intend to pursue as the choice of colleges/ Universities will depend on that. On the broader side in the US Universities of California, Texas, MIT, Harvard, in UK Universities of Sheffield, Coventry, Oxford, LSE, Bedfordshire and in Australia, Deakin, Universities of Wollongong, Melbourne, RMIT are some of the ones you can try.
