NL Scholarship is financed by Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. Indian students are eligible for NL scholarship. In this scholarship, awarded scholarship amounts are- EUR 5 K, EUR 10 K and EUR 15 K.

International students can apply to Utrecht University online using Studielink portal for any program. Once the application form is submitted, international students are required to pay an application fee, of EUR 100. The application fee is non-refundable. Without the application fee the application will not be considered for evaluation.

Utrecht University is famous among Indian students. Majority of its PG programs are taught in English.  Each year, 1,500+ students enrol into various PG programs of Utrecht University. In 2025, Utrecht University enrolled about 39,000 students from 110+ countries out of which there were international students.

Utrecht University is one of top universities in Netherland. University has12 Nobel laureates. It is one of universities that do not officially publish data on acceptance rate. University acceptance rate is around 22%. With such low acceptance rate, university is very selective in admissions and it is very hard to get into university. Also, data on acceptance rate is taken from unofficial source, so, it is subject to vary.
