Eligibility for B.Tech in Production Engineering (Lateral Entry):
Candidate must have completed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology in relevant stream with minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.
Or,
Candidate must have completed B.Sc. from UGC/ Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability

Minimum eligibility to apply is 50%. However, the mentioned percentage for reserved category is applicable only to candidates belonging to Maharashtra state.

VJTI Mumbai is among top colleges under MHCET domain. So, you have to score very high to get any branches in this college. Any marks more than 140 is considered safe for admission.

VJTI Mumbai gives admission for diploma courses that it conducts strictly on the basis of guidelines framed by Directorate of technical education of the state of Maharashtra. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about the eligibility, admission process and how it is to be done. At first glance it seems that there is no restriction on age of the candidate hence I feel you are eligible for seeking admission.

The eligibility is as below.
Candidates must have passed SSC or HSC and a diploma in engineering or technology or B.Sc or its equivalent from a recognized institution with 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).
Provided that students belonging to B.Sc category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering.
Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering program along with second-year subjects.
