For choosing between LNCT Main Campus CSE and VIT Chennai CSE with specialization. VIT Chennai generally offers better placement opportunities and a more structured learning environment with specializations. However, it's significantly more expensive. LNCT Main Campus might be a better option if you are looking for a more affordable option and are comfortable with a general CSE curriculum or are willing to pursue specializations later in your academic career or through self-study.

With a VITEEE rank of 36,000, getting a seat in the Computer Science (CS) course at VIT Chennai is possible, but it might be in the lower categories. The fee structure varies depending on the category you are assigned based on your rank. Generally, Category 1 has the lowest fees, and fees increase with higher categories.

With a VIT rank above 1 Lacs and having gotten into VIT Andhra Pradesh in phase 5, it's unlikely to get into VIT Chennai. Generally, ranks above 1 Lacs are not considered for the main campuses (Vellore and Chennai) but are eligible for the VIT-AP and VIT-Bhopal campuses.

VIT generally allocates campuses based on rank. Ranks below 1 Lacs are typically considered for Vellore and Chennai.

With rank 17,845 in VITEEE, you have got an awesome chance of getting the CSE branch at VIT Chennai.

Many college students with comparable ranks were given CSE there.

So, sure — you can assume admission, however the charges can be slightly higher in those categories.

You can apply to VIT Chennai online through their official website. First, register as a new user using your email and mobile. Then complete the application form, pay the fee online, and upload your photo and signature. For B.Tech courses you also need a valid VITEEE rank. That's it—submit before the deadline and wait for counselling.
