VIT Chennai admits eligible students to its MBA programme according to the following criteria:
1. Academic performance of the candidate in the undergraduate degree.
2. Performance of the candidate in either VITBEE 2026 or the best valid score among CAT / XAT / MAT exams.
3. Candidates with high scores in CAT are considered for early admission.
4. Personal Interview

Candidates appearing for final year exam in 2026, whose results are published on or before the specified deadline are also eligible to apply. There is a relaxation of 10% in the aggregate for SC/ ST and applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
