Yes, pursuing an Integrated M.Tech course from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) in Vellore can be a good choice depending on your career goals and interests. Here are some factors to consider:

2. Curriculum and specialisation: VIT is known for its comprehensive and industry-oriented curriculum. The Integrated M.Tech programs at VIT offer specialisation opt

However, universities often have subsequent rounds of counseling or waiting lists for candidates who did not participate or were not allotted a seat in the initial phases.
To determine your chances of getting admission in category 1 at VIT Vellore, i

Deciding on placement opportunities in a specific programme at a university can depend on various factors, including your academic performance, relevant skills, and the specific requirements and policies of the university and its placement cell. While it is not possible for me to provide a definitive answer regarding your placement at VIT Vellore's Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department, I can offer some general insights. Transitioning from a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering to an M.Tech in Computer Science can be a significant shift, as the two fields are distinct. The minimum rank required for Integrated M.Tech in any branch at VIT Vellore campus is not fixed and varies every year based on the number of applicants and their scores. However, according to a few sources, a rank of around 3471 or 6722 may be required to get an Integrated M.Tech seat in VIT Vellore campus under category 1 in software engineering. The combined marks in all of the topics taken in a +2 (or its equivalent) should be 55 percent in PCM.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Not a good idea. If you are getting NITs/IITs/IIITs then leaving VIT can be a wise idea. VIT is most reputed NAAC A+ accredited University having 9 NIRF ranking. The placements opportunities in VIT are the best. So, rethink before taking any decision.
